Each year it is customary for us to make new year’s resolutions. Some people totally forgot the resolution at some point in the year. Also, most Christians will go on fasting. The duration of the fast depends on the individual and the church.
However, Before I proceed any further, I would like to ask what is your new year’s resolution? What action plan have you put in place?

Strange but true I sort the Lord for a word to carry me through the new year. The word I got is ‘THE LORD IS MY ROCK.’

I wrote is down so that I don’t forget it. It is very strange often we get a word, and we fail to evaluate the word in detail. I was extremely excited with the word. Yes – The Lord is my rock. On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand. We can hide under the rock. The work rock is used 142 times in the bible. It is used in so many situations. Most struck the rock (Num20:10-11) and water came out of it – we could see this a provision.

Rock of Offense” when he wrote “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame” (Rom 9:33).

Paul is quoting Isaiah 28:16 which says nearly the same thing “therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste” (Isaiah 28:16). The psalmist speaks of Jesus as “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone” (Psalm 118:22).

There are some many unauthorized questions. A few years ago, the Lord gave me a word and situation in my life was exactly as the word. I came upon people who acted in the same manner as the word. Also, I realize if I am prompted to read certain scripture, I know that my day isn’t going to be easy. I know I am going to obstacles for the day. What is the Lord saying to you? Please I would like to encourage you to stay focus on the word as a pillar of strength. Situations might not reflect the word but remember our timing is different from The Lords.

During watched night service my pastor reminded us that in the building process a tearing away must take place. If you look at the construction process (sermon coming shortly – Four steps would be involved in the building process: “Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low, the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places plain.” Construction engineers know that this is exactly how highways are built yet today.
There must me a deconstruction before the building process. What am I trying to say? This year is going to be a year of blessing but before the blessing there is going to be some challenging times.

I am excited because The Lord is my rock. He is extraordinarily strong and reliable.

He is my fortress – Psalm 18: 2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

1 Samuel 2:2

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Deuteronomy 32:4

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

He is a firm foundation 2 Timothy 2:19

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.

Isaiah 28:16

So, this is what the Lord GOD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will never be shaken.

Psalm 1:6

For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Treasury of the scripture

Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, let everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
